Instructor: Carrie DeJaco
Class Dates: This class meets four times from 5:30pm to 8:30pm on the following dates:
Ecology is the study of interactions between organisms and the relationship between organisms and their physical environments. In the classroom setting, students will learn about basic ecological concepts relating to plants, animals, and the environment, and how all of these influence and interact with one another. The course will meet 4 times for 3 hours each. As preparation for the course, students are encouraged to read one or both of these books by Doug Tallamy— Bringing Nature Home and Nature’s Best Hope. By reading these books, students will get a bit of a “setting” for the ecological concepts that we will explore in the course.
