Plant Identification

Class Dates: This class meets three times from 5:30pm to 8:30pm on the following dates:
Plant Identification focuses on how to classify plants in general and, more specifically, in the Carolinas. This class will cover plant structure, key identification features, and the use of field guides and other resources. By the end of the course, students will have the knowledge and skills to identify various plant parts and species. This class requires active hands-on participation. The purchase of this course includes a personal hand lens for you to take home.

* Parking: This class takes place on campus at UNC Charlotte. Parking at UNC Charlotte is monitored on weekdays, so for our weekday classes, we recommend parking in our visitor decks for a fee. If you park in an open lot through the week you will receive a fine of $85 from the university. We do have very limited free parking spots in front of the Greenhouse, but those fill up quickly. Parking at UNC Charlotte is free on Saturday and Sunday.
