Grand Prize (1 Winner) will receive:

• A beautiful orchid basket with 4 orchids, curated by Tammy Blume, the Greenhouse Manager at UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens
• A private tour of the Botanical Gardens for up to 20 people, led by Dr. Jeff Gillman, the Director of UNC Charlotte's Botanical Gardens
• Unlimited free UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens classes for an entire year (until February 28, 2026)

20 winners will receive: 
*approximate value $25

• A $25 gift certificate to one of our 2025 plant sales

*UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens reserves the right to limit prize quantities in the case of low ticket sales.

Raffle Process:
Raffle ticket sales end at 4pm EST on Monday, February 10, 2025. Winning raffle tickets will be drawn via live Facebook event at 10am EST on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.

Winner Notifications:
Raffle winners will be notified by email the afternoon of Tuesday, February 11, 2025. 

Scheduling tours:
The tour awarded with the Grand Prize must be completed by February 28, 2026. 

Scheduling winners' classes: 
The winner of the year of free classes will work with Mariah Huffman, our Education Director, to be registered for the classes of their choice. If the classes are full, they are no longer available to the winner for participation. Materials and books are not included in this prize. However, books may be purchased by contacting garden-education@charlotte.edu. The classes may occur any time between February 12, 2025 and February 28, 2026. 

Pick-up of tangible items:
The winners of tangible items must pick up the items in person at the McMillan Greenhouse at 9090 Craver Road, Charlotte, NC on UNC Charlotte's campus on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 1 to 3pm, or by appointment thereafter. Appointments may be coordinated by emailing cara.lursen@charlotte.edu. Items not picked up by May 1, 2025 are considered forfeited and become the property of UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens. Please note, live orchids should be picked up immediately to ensure freshness.
