Learn the basics in the classroom, including: benefits of pruning, timing (when to prune different groups of plants), proper technique to assure new bud formation and limit damage and disease, and a review of tool selection. Then join Ed in the Botanical Gardens to experience hands on learning by pruning woody plants here in our own gardens! This class is suitable for beginners as well as experienced gardeners who want to learn more about pruning under the direction of a Horticultural expert.
