Class Date: Tuesday, November 11, 2025 from 6-8pm Class Description: Winter doesn’t have to mean a dormant landscape. This class will explore how to create visually appealing and ecologically balanced outdoor spaces that thrive even in colder months. Participants will learn how to incorporate plants with winter interest, use structural elements, and prepare their landscapes for winter weather. This class will equip participants with the tools to develop home landscapes that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing during winter, while also considering the unique climate of North Carolina. Please Note: This class is not catered to vegetable gardening. Class Format: In-person

Parking: UNC Charlotte does require a valid parking permit to park on campus Monday-Friday. If you do not hold a permit, we recommend that you park in a visitor deck. These decks currently cost $5 for the first hour, and $2 for each additional hour. There is a $15 a day maximum charge. We also have 5 free visitor spots directly in front of the Greenhouse. Those spots are first come, first serve, and often fill up quickly. ---
